Repentance is made possible first with our consent and then with the will of God by the Holy Spirit.
The manifestation of repentance is enacted; by an act of our free will to give up sin. Then, with the help of God and through the Holy Spirit, we make a humble confession or admission of our sin. At the same time in humility we ask for his forgiveness again although he had already forgiven us.
Our intention to repent in a confession is enough to hand over our freedom to God through the Holy Spirit to strengthen our will to repent.
The Bread of Life at the Eucharist is an added act where God can repair us of the damage of the sin to our body and soul.
The final is the will in us to enable our formed conscience to be in our consciousness and take control of our subconscious. Thus the healing the damage of sin inside us and purging of all emotions associated with sin.
*That act will allow us to truly love our neighbour as well as to truly love God.*
*That is a miracle by itself; the manifestation of the Word of God in us.*
