the missing steps
“The gospel is a very comfortable and pleasant thing for everyone. But the gospel is really to die for Jesus, you have to die to your own desires-to self-and walk behind Jesus. That’s a disciple. Of all true Christians alive today very few have met the conditions to be disciples of Jesus. "If “relative values” such as “solidarity, love of peace and respect for nature” became absolute, they would encourage “idolatry” and “put obstacles in the way of salvation”.Cardinal Biffi

In last Monday’s brief address to the cardinals of Rome, the Pope spoke about the Church’s battle in its journey throughout the ages. The Church “militant,” as he said at one point – namely, that fight for what is good and against evil that at some times is visibly dominant and violent, while at other times is insidiously subtle and hidden beneath a façade of benevolence. Drawing upon Saint Augustine, the Pope described the interior dimension of this battle as being the choice between two loves: that which leads man to forget God, and that which leads man to forget himself.
Saint Ignatius of Loyola, in a key passage from the “Spiritual Exercises”, tells us the same thing: we must choose to stand either beneath the flag of the devil or beneath the flag of Jesus. Under the devil’s flag, we are enlisted in the search for wealth, vainglory, pride, and all that which is seen by others. Beneath the flag of Jesus, we are committed to a love for poverty – both spiritual and material – humiliation, humility, and all of the virtues which follow. It's all very clear, isn't it? That this is the current state of affairs?
Saint Ignatius says that, on the one side, we are attracted to those deceptive spirits who promise happiness, but who actually lay traps along the way and enslave us. On the other side – that of goodness – we are invited to be “servants and friends” of Jesus, masters of spirit and evangelical discernment. The Pope also spoke about those “good friends” who accompany us and who help us rest in the Lord during the battle. Together we ask for the gift of discernment from the Holy Spirit, the gift of consolation and of strength, even during the “dark nights” of our lives, so that the confusion of Babel, which poses an ever-present threat to society and the Church, we may continue towards the dialogue and communion of Pentecost.

Miracles in Mozambique: How Mama Heidi Reaches the Abandoned
"Here, healings come easily.
We've prayed for the blind all over the world, and only five times have
people been healed. But here, it happens most of the time. To tell you
the truth, I don't understand it." -Pastor to Mozambique
(Pemba,
Mozambique)—Heidi and Rolland Baker are the head of Iris Ministries in
Mozambique. Rolland was raised in Taiwan, the son of Assemblies of God
Missionaries, and his wife Heidi—known as "Mama Aida" to the orphans
they care for—grew up in Laguna Beach, California. Their life today, in
the 11th poorest nation on earth, reflects nothing of Western life, but
everything of the Kingdom of God. (Photo: UnitedCaribbean.com)
As reported in Christianity Today, known worldwide for healing miracles, Heidi claims that in recent years "100 percent of the deaf in the Chiure area have been healed through prayer, scores have been raised from the dead, food has been multiplied, the crippled and blind have been restored, and the Gospel has spread like fire."
Bakers
live by their motto, "Stop for One." They also emphasize the Joy of the
Lord, manifest in their exuberant Sunday morning worship services. As
for wealth, Heidi is quoted as saying riches are a "very sad thing
unless they are used to raise up the poor. True riches, she says, "look
like children." (Photo by: janeamessinatravels.wordpress.com)
Indiana University religious studies professor Candy Gunther Brown states, "For Heidi and Rolland, miracles and concern for the poor are meant to go together. In their view, you can't separate the two. Power and love are wings, and you need both to fly."
According to the Christianity Today report, Brown was so intrigued by the claims of healing in Mozambique, she traveled there to verify them scientifically. "Testing 24 Mozambicans before and after healing prayer—half performed by Baker—her team detected statistically significant improvements in hearing and vision. (The results were published in the September 2010 edition of the Southern Medical Journal and are available online.)."

“And there will be SIGNS in the Heavens”
“And there will be SIGNS in the Heavens”
Blood Red Lunar Eclipses and Solar Eclipses on God’s Holy Days in 2014-2015 – What Does It all Mean?
Astonishing as it seems, four lunar eclipses will occur on
God’s annual Holy Days during Passover and Sukkot in the
years 2014 and 2015, and two solar eclipses on Nisan 1 and
the Feast of Trumpets! These are exceedingly rare occurrences,
especially when they dovetail with God’s Holy Days! What
does it all mean? What is the prophetic significance? It’s
time to wake up and take heed of these ominous, fateful
warnings from heaven!
William F. Dankenbring
According to the Jewish calendar, the year 2008 is a Sabbatical year. A new Sabbatical cycle will begin September 29, 2008. 2015 will also be a Sabbatical year.
But most amazing of all, it has been discovered that in the years 2014 and 2015 there will be two solar eclipses and four lunar eclipses, all of them occurring on Jewish Holy Days!
The Lunar eclipses break down as follows:
Passover April 15, 2014
Feast of Tabernacles October 8, 2014
Passover April 4, 2015
Feast of Tabernacles September 28, 2015
The two Solar eclipses connected with God’s Holy Days in 2014-2015 occur:
Adar 29/Nisan 1(new year) March 20, 2015
Feast of Trumpets September 13, 2015
It was on Nisan 1 that the Hebrew new year’s day occurred, according to the Scriptures (Exo.12:1-2). On the anniversary of this date, one year later, Moses raised up the Tabernacle of God, inaugurated it, and the glory of God descended from heaven (Exodus 40:2, 17, 34).
The real shocker is that this phenomenon is extremely rare, for this pattern of eclipses to fall on both Passover and Sukkot in two years in a row, and for a solar eclipse to occur on important Holy Days in the same year (2015).
This intriguing, incredible discovery comes from Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries, in Bonner Lake, Washington.
Biltz was intrigued with the statement in the Scriptures that connect the second coming of the Messiah with “signs in the heavens,” particularly the signs that “the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood” before the return of Christ.
He went on the internet, to the U.S. Government NASA website to see if there were any significant eclipses of the sun and moon during the next few years. To his surprise, he discovered four lunar eclipses in the Sabbatical year 2014/2015, and was intrigued by the fact that they occurred on God’s annual Holy Days!
Writing about the amazing discovery in the May 2008 issue of Prophecy in the News, J. R. Church declares, “This is most unusual. It is a rare occurrence for four lunar cycles on successive Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) observances. It will not happen again for hundreds of years.”
Says J. R. Church, in a letter accompanying the magazine issue, “Four lunar eclipses occurring on the Feast of Tabernacles and Passover in two successive years are phenomenal. But add to them two solar eclipses on the two days that open the Jewish year – Adar 29/Nisan1, just two weeks before Passover, and Tishri 1 (Rosh Hashannah) – is uncanny. On each of these six Jewish Holy Days, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give her light. Will this happen again in the 21st century? No. Did it happen in the 20th century? Yes, in 1949/1950, the year following Israel’s statehood, and 1967/1968, the year Jerusalem was liberated in the Six-Day War! Before that, you have to go back to 1493 for four successive lunar eclipses on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles” (May 2008 letter).
Is God Almighty telling us something? Skeptics and scoffers will denounce the discovery as mere coincidence, but the prophet Daniel informs us, “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined. But the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand” (Dan.12:10).
Peter warned, “Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (II Pet.3:3-4).
Another shocking discovery is that coming up this summer there will be three SOLAR eclipses in a row, in 2008, 2009, and 2010, all on the date of the first of Av, the fifth Hebrew month of the year.
Av 1 August 1, 2008 partial solar eclipse
Av 1 July 22, 2009 partial solar eclipse
Av 1 July 11, 2010 partial solar eclipse
The first day of Av is in the middle of the time period when the Jewish people mourn the destruction of the Temple of God. Historically Moses descended from Mt. Sinai with the two tablets of the Ten Commandments, and found the people engaged in gross idolatry at the foot of the mountain. That was on Tammuz 17. Also, on Av 9, the Hebrew spies returned from spying out the land of Canaan and brought an evil report – and the people lost faith in God, and were condemned to wander 40 years in the wilderness (Numbers 14:34). Av 9 also commemorates the date of the destruction of the first Temple by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in 586 B.C., and the second Temple by the Roman general Titus on the same date in 70 A.D.
These two dates are days of infamy in Israel. The three week period between Tammuz 17 and Av 9 are called “between the straits” and are days of mourning, repentance, and lamentations.
How interesting that a solar eclipse will fall on the date of Av 1, in the middle of mourning and lamentation, three years in a row!
Mark Blitz believes that these phenomenal solar eclipses on this date signify that God could begin judging the Gentile nations this summer, beginning Av 1. Solar eclipses, he says, are designed for Gentile nations, whereas lunar eclipses are designed for Israel. These eclipses, too, then could be a WARNING FROM GOD TO A WAYWARD WORLD!
The Second Coming
Writes Joe Kovacs for WorldNetDaily,“Will Jesus Christ return to Earth in the year 2015? And can studying NASA's website ~ evidence for such a scenario?
“A minister who promotes the Old Testament roots of Christianity suggests a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God’s annual holy days seven years from
now could herald what’s come to be known as the ‘Second Coming’ of Jesus.
“ ‘God wants us to look at the biblical calendar,’ says Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash. ‘The reason we need to be watching is [because] He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays.’” (“Blood Moon Eclipses: 2nd Coming in 2015? Minister uses NASA forecasting to study signals of Jesus’ return,” WorldNetDaily, May 9, 2008).
In an interview with J. R. Church of “Prophecy in the News,” Biltz said he’s been “studying prophecies that focus on the sun and moon, even going back to the book of Genesis where it states the lights in the sky would be ‘be for signs, and for seasons.’
“ ‘It means a signal, kind of like ‘one if by land, two if by sea.’ It’s like
God wants to signal us,’ he said. ‘The Hebrew word implies . . . ‘not only is it a signal, but it's a signal for coming or His appearing.’”
Biltz adds, “You have the religious year beginning with the total solar eclipse, two weeks later a total lunar eclipse on Passover, andthen the civil year beginning with the solar eclipse followed two weeks later by another total blood red moon on the Feast of Succoth all in 2015.”
Biltz focused on the precise times of solar and lunar eclipses, sometimes called “blood moons,” by logging onto NASA’s website on eclipses. He noticed a rare phenomenon of four consecutive total lunar eclipses which are known as a “tetrad.” During this century, tetrads occur at least six times, but the only string of four consecutive “blood moons” coincide with God’s Holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles. This occurs between the years 2014 and 2015 on today’s Gregorian calendar.
In the 20th century, he noticed that such successive blood moons coinciding with Passover and Tabernacles occurred only on 1967-68, the year the Jews liberated Jerusalem from the control of the Arabs. He also noted that the only other such combination of eclipses in the 20th century took place in 1949-50, the year following the Jewish state’s hard-fought war of independence, when Israel became a nation.
Just how significant is this astounding information? Is this another tell-tale clue pinpointing the period of the second coming of the Messiah?
“Signs” in the Heavens
Why did God create the stars in the heavens in the first place? We read one significant answer in Genesis, the first chapter.
Moses wrote: “And God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as SIGNS to mark seasons and days and years” (Genesis 1:14, NIV).
The word for “sign” here, in the Hebrew, is owth, and means “a signal, as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence,” etc. The word for “seasons” is the Hebrew moadim and means “festivals, literally, appointed times.”
Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon points out that this word means “a sign,” “a token” (Exo.12:13; Josh.2:12), “signs and times” (Gen.1:14), i.e., “signs of times.” It is used of a military ensign, a sign of something past, and a sign of something future, a portent, as well as a sign of anything which cannot be seen.
For “seasons”, Strong’s Concordance has “an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; spec. a festival.” Gesenius has it, “(1) a set time, . . . (2) an assembly . . . (3) a place in which an assembly is held . . . (4) an appointed time, a signal.”
Thus heavenly bodies, and the periodic return of comets, and celestial meteor showers, and eclipses, can be, in Biblical terms, a “heavenly sign”! Yeshua spoke of such signs occurring before His return to planet Earth. When such a sign occurs on a moad or moadim, or Festival of God, it is especially significant.
Biblical Prophecies
Jesus Christ Himself said, referring to the days before His second coming: “And there will be fearful sights and GREAT SIGNS from heaven” (Luke 21:11, KJV). Christ went on, “And there will be SIGNS in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars . . .” (Luke 21: 25).
Also speaking of His second coming, to rule this world, and to deliver mankind from its greatest crisis in all human history, Jesus foretold: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars [meteors] will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken [an incredible cosmic quaking and shaking -- see Hebrews 12:25-28; Hag.2:21-23]. Then the SIGN of the Son of Man will APPEAR in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will SEE the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and glory” (Matt.24:29-31).
Such signs are also mentioned as occurring before the day of the Lord in the Tanakh -- the Old Testament Scriptures (Joel 2:30-31; Joel 2:10; Joel 3:14-16).
Does God often send mysterious “signs” in the heavens before He performs mighty works in the earth? What do the Scriptures say about this?
The prophet Joel tells us, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD” (Joel 2:31).
These awesome occurrences in the skies and heavens will stagger mankind, causing terrible fright and anxiety. John in Revelation prophesied, that in the period just before the coming of the Messiah, and the “Day of the Lord,” that great signs would take place: “I look when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood” (Rev.6:12).
“And the stars of heaven fell to the earth [meteor showers], as a fig tree droops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place” (Rev.6:13-14). After this, then, comes the final “Day of the Lord” -- the time when God Himself begins to punish the nations, and bring His divine judgments of wrath and fury.
Jesus' Step-by-Step Prophecy
Jesus' disciples came to Him and asked Him privately, “When shall these things be? And what shall be the SIGN of thy coming, and of the END of the world [Greek aion, “age”]?” (Matt.24:3). Jesus warned them first of all to beware of false prophets and false religious teachers who proclaim heresy (Matt.24:4-5). He then prophesied wars and rumors of wars, but said these did not signal the end (verse 6). He even predicted wars, earthquakes, famines and plagues, but said these were but “the beginning of sorrows” (verses 7-8).
Jesus then warned that persecution of true Christians would greatly increase (verses 9-20), and many false prophets and deceivers would rise up (verse 11). This has begun to happen around the world -- with Christians being persecuted vehemently in Turkey, Egypt, India, China, Moslem countries, and even in "secular" societies like the United States, and the western world!
Jesus then announced, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” (verse 12). This has begun to happen! The world has seen a sharp increase in violence, lawlessness, and general immorality and iniquity. Riots, looting, arson, murder, pornography, violence in movies, profanity, and the breakdown of the home and family -- all are contributing to a world gone berserk and gangs and rioters running amok! Civil disorder and ethnic strife and hatred are rapidly increasing.
In the midst of this, Jesus said, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in ALL THE WORLD for a WITNESS unto all nations; and THEN the END will come” (verse 14). That also has begun to happen! In the pages of Prophecy Flash, and via the internet and worldwide web around the world, this final message of the coming of God's KINGDOM is being hurled around the globe!
Jesus said that the next thing to look for is “the abomination of desolation” standing in the Temple of God in Jerusalem (Matt.24:15) – and when we see that happening, those in Jerusalem should FLEE to the hills and mountains for safety (verses 16-20). That final invasion of Israel and Jerusalem in the Middle East will lead to a captivity and time of travail lasting 42 months (compare Matt.24:21-22 with Rev.13:4-6, 11:1-2, 12:6, 14).
Notice – Jesus gave us a specific TIME TABLE of many sequential prophecies, each to be fulfilled in their proper order, BEFORE and LEADING UP TO HIS SECOND COMING! After this Great Tribulation, Jesus foretold great signs in the heavens, followed by the “Day of the Lord” – the time He will return in awesome glory and power (Matt.24:29-31). This will occur at the seventh or “last” trumpet (I Cor.15:50-51; I Thess.4:14-17; Rev.11:15).
Isn’t this plain?
These are NOT mere “speculations”! The apostle Peter wrote in these terms: “We have also a MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a LIGHT that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
“Knowing this first, that NO prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (II Pet.1:19-21).
Prophecy is a vital and integral part of the Word of God! It is not something which should be treated lightly, cavalierly, with disrespect and dishonor. It is vital to our SALVATION! If it were not so important, then God would not have inspired 2/3rds of His Word to deal with prophecy, and 90% of that to apply to the LAST DAYS, the generation alive just before the return of the Messiah in awesome power and glory to deliver His people and to save the earth from utter annihilation, destruction, and cosmocide!
Paul wrote, even commanded, “Never disdain prophetic revelations” (I Thess.5:20, Moffatt), or, “Do not scoff at those who prophesy” (TLB). Have you become a scoffer in these last days?
What is the main lesson these vital End-Time SIGNS in the heavens show us?
OUR GENERATION -- this present generation -- will be the FINAL, LAST, END-TIME GENERATION that will see all these things come to pass, and that will WITNESS the awesome, spine-tingling return of JESUS CHRIST, THE MESSIAH in tremendous power and unimaginable GLORY!!!
Jesus Himself said: “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be fulfilled” (Matt.24:34). You and I – those of us of THIS present generation of the Atomic Bomb, nuclear weapons, biological and chemical weapons of mass destruction –WE are the ones living in the Biblical "time of the end" -- the FINAL generation! The time has come. The Messiah's footsteps are approaching. His coming is near. His heavenly stallion is getting nervous, chomping at the bit, getting ready for that great ride through the sky (Rev.19:11-14). The heavenly army is growing tense with excitement and anticipation. The time is near – the moment we are all breathlessly waiting for.
The “signs” are increasing, for those who have eyes to see and hearts to understand! John declares:
“The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the
land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him
who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the
things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in
it, that there should be delay no longer.
"But in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel,
when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be
finished, as he declared to His servants the prophets”
(Revelation 10:5-7, NKJV).
Could the years 2014-2015 picture the final years of the countdown to the approaching footsteps of the Messiah?
Could the present “Sabbatical week” – 2008-2015 – be the beginning of the final week of “woes” -- the final seven years of this age?
Could this be the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week, which heralds in the “end of the age,” “to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy”? (Dan.9:24-27).
Could this be the final “seven times” or “years” of Leviticus 26 – a time of plagues and punishments upon all Israel? God says, “I will punish you seven times [“years”] more for your sins. I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain” (Lev.26:18—20).
During this time, God says, “Your highways shall be desolate” (verse 22). “I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant . . . I will send pestilence among you . . . I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries into desolation . . . I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste” (Lev.26:22-33).
But this horrendous time of punishment will terminate with the COMING OF THE MESSIAH!
These heavenly signs are a WITNESS from God to underscore that fact that the end is drawing to a close very SOON! These heavenly portents are very auspicious for true Christians and Messianic believers! As Yeshua says:
“Now when these things BEGIN to happen, LOOK UP
and LIFT UP your heads, because your REDEMPTION
draws near” (Luke 21:28).
Blessed is He that comes in the Name of the Lord! Baruch haba ha shem Adonai!
As God’s people, we urgently, breathlessly await that “Great Day of Jezreel” and the coming of our Lord!
Rock Salt or Sea Salt.
Rock Salt or Sea Salt.
STRESS RELIEF. Is salt bad for hypertensives?
What is bad for hypertension is iodized salt, which is a fake salt. It is made up of only 3 synthetic chemicals, sodium, chloride, iodine. It does not melt in water (glistens like diamonds), does NOT melt in the body, does not melt in the kidneys, gives kidney stones, and raises blood pressure. However, it is the salt favored by the synthetic drug-based doctors who say it is very clean and sanitary, pointing to how white it is and how it glistens like diamonds. The fake salt is man-made in a factory.
The true salt, which comes from the sea and dried under the sun and commonly called rock salt , has 72 natural minerals including natural sodium, chloride, iodine. It melts in water, melts in your body, melts in the kidneys, do not give kidney stones, and best of all brings down blood pressure and stops/prevents muscle cramps, numbness, tingling.
If you get muscle cramps in the lower legs at night, just take 1/2 teaspoon of rock salt and a glass of water, and the cramps with its horrific pain will be gone in 5 minutes.
The highest BP that came my way was in a woman who had a BP of 240/140 and came to my house at 10:30 pm on what she said was a matter of "life and death" because the high BP was already giving her a crushing headache, especially the back of her head. She could not walk up the 6 shallow steps to my porch. Two men had to help her, one on each side, in addition to the cane that she needed to prop herself up.
I muscle tested her and found that underlying her BP of 240/140 and the crushing pain in the head, her body's water content was only 6% (normal is 75%), salt content was zero, potassium was 96% deficient, and cardiac output (blood flow from the heart) was only 40% (normal is 100%). So the blood supply to the head was 60% deficient.
I gave her one 6" long green sili (hot pepper), 1 raw ripe saba banana, 1/2 teaspoon of rock salt and 3 8-oz glasses of tap water. The sili was to normalize cardiac output and shoot blood to the head, the saba banana was for the potassium deficiency and to have food in the stomach because pepper will give a stomach ache if the stomach is empty, and the rock salt and the water were the first aid for her severe dehydration which was causing her arteries to be dry and stiff and her blood to be thick and sticky, because they were dehydrated.
After 5 minutes, she said, "The pain in my head is gone." We took her BP, it was 115/75, and cardiac output was up to 100%.
She walked out of the house to her car without the men helping her and without the cane.
She has been taking 2.5 teaspoons of rock salt, 15 glasses of water, 6 saba bananas and 3 of the long pepper daily since then (beginning September 2009), and her BP and cardiac output have been normal since then.
Two months later, in November, at a PCAM round table forum on hypertension in Club Filipino, she gave her testimony, followed by her brother who said that she grew 2", because the salt and the water had refilled her compressed disc spaces in her vertebral column. The disc spaces had become compressed because they had become dehydrated since the fluid filling up these discs are 95% water.
Why salt? Because without salt the body cannot retain water no matter how much water is drunk. You will still be dehydrated because you will just keep urinating and sweating the water out.
This is not an isolated case. When BP is rising high but there is little or no headache but there is stiffness of shoulder and neck muscles, all you need to normalize the BP and remove the stiffness and the pain in 5 minutes is 1/2 teaspoon of rock salt and 3 glasses of water. If there is crushing pain in the head, it means blood supply to the head is lacking, and you will need the sili to normalize it and shoot blood to the head and remove the extreme pain.
The Wife's responsibility to the Husband
Your interest in this subject is appreciated and I am glad that we have the Bible as our source book to tell us what God expected of the wife in the marriage relationship. There are several verses in Ephesians, the fifth chapter that you should read, beginning with verse 22. Let me read only three of these for you. Verse 22, "Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord". Then verse 24, "Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything". Then verse 33, "nevertheless let everyone of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband". Then in I Peter 3:1, "Like wise you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands". The Wife's responsibility to the Husband
None of these passages teach that women are inferior in intellect, but that her feminine qualities preclude her being as well endowed for leadership. The subjection does not mean servitude. It is not the relationship of master and slave or as a maid or servant. Hers is a recognition of the husband's leadership, wisdom and tenderness. He should be as loving toward her as Christ loved the church. At this point, there are several privileges that belong to the wife. For instance, she is to be loved like Christ loved the church as commanded in Ephesians 5:25. She is to be honored as none other in I Peter 3:7, and she is to be praised by her family, Pro. 31:28. In Titus 2:4 we read, "That (the aged women) may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed". Here is a fine list of the responsibilities of the wife. All of these are important, but let us just dwell on four of these. "To love their husbands" is a command. Too often this is equated by men to believe it is only a sexual relationship and in the mind of some women, that is all they think they are good for. To love your husband means that you are a partner with him, working together toward a common goal. Then you can be appreciative of his actions, efforts and work in supporting the family. You will do all that you possibly can to see that they are comfortable and happy when they come home. "To love their children", is another command. As men provide for the family financially, mothers s tay home and rear the children. This might often be considered a thankless job. This is an area in which you can excel. As he earns the living and supports the family, you take care of the children while he is gone to work and make the house comfortable by keeping it pleasant and enjoyable. Yes, children can become exasperating at times, but remember, they are children who are still developing and learning. They need that sober guiding hand of the mature mother who lets them know that they are the objects of her love and concern.
"To be obedient to their own husband" points out the closeness of the two." This is not indicating that You can't and do not have any thoughts of your own The idea is that as husband and wife work together and that you are not constantly pulling in an opposite direction. This obedience does not mean that you are a slave or an indentured servant, but rather that you are sharing a mutual goal. The harshness of the word obedient is tempered by the display of love and affection that the husband shows his wife. "To be keepers at home" is a command that indicates a divided responsibility. His job seems to be to go out and earn the living and provide for his family while she looks after the home. Even though a wife does not work outside of the home in what we call public work, she is still vital to the income of the family. Hers is a non-income producing activity, but it is still vitally important to the overall success of the family. When God created woman, she was taken from the rib of man as is described in Genesis. She was not taken from his foot that she might be crushed underneath his heel in bitterness. Neither was she taken from his head so that she might rule over him. She was not taken from the hand so that she might continually fill the position of waiting upon him. She was taken from the rib on man that she might be by his side continually. She is to be loved and is to respond as a part of his body. Husbands and wives are a part of each other. Let me call your attention to the Old Testament in which the writer Solomon describes a worthy woman. It is Proverbs 31:10-31. (Read). These verses quite explicitly give us God's view of a wife and mother.

Dressing with Strength
Dressing with Strength
by ARABAHJOY on FEBRUARY 27, 2012 in FAITHFULNESS, PURPOSE
Perhaps the most notable thing about the virtuous woman is how she wakes up.
Have you noticed it?
Proverbs 31 tells us the virtuous woman gets up early and “dresses herself with strength.”
Some women are naturally “strong” women. The Proverbs 31 woman would seem to be one of them if we met her during the course of her day.
We would see her facing challenges with confidence. We would see her laughing at the future. We would see her speaking kindly to her children. We would see her making wise decisions and providing for her family and serving the needy.
But Scripture is so good to show us this “strong” woman in the morning, when she is first arising. Here we see her starting the day before the others arise and dressing herself, not with a fashionable top and flowing skirt but with a mindset.
In other words, she isn’t necessarily a natural when it comes to waking up strong. She puts her pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us. Proverbs 31:17 tells us the virtuous woman’s means and method to being strong so we can be like her:
She dresses.
“Dressing” is a skill, a learned practice. It is not a natural ability that you either have or you don’t. {Isn’t that great news?}
The Proverbs 31 woman had to learn how to dress, just like we must. The phrase here “to dress” implies “Preparing one’s self for something that requires readiness, strength, or endurance.”
Which pretty much describes motherhood, yes? And living a selfless, godly life.
Sure, it would be easier if it came naturally…but once we realize it is something we learn, we are free to start practicing! Just like we teach our daughters to choose their clothing, match tops with skirts with shoes, how to put them on, etc, women and girls of all ages can learn how to put on the strength of the Lord.
God calls us to be women who practice putting on His strength like we would our clothes. Morning after morning.
She dresses herself.
As women training little women, we are to come to the place where we don’t expect others to make life easy for us.
As we learn to dress ourselves, we eliminate the “props” that hold us up and are instead stregthened by the Lord alone. When this happens, we stop making demands of our husband, children, friends, and church family. We stop emotional manipulation, tantrums, and the like and instead become the ones serving. Our *needs* aren’t substantial, even though our personal hardships may be. We have learned to withstand difficulty.
Now I know many women- even older women- who have never learned how to dress themselves with strength. They expect others around them to make their lives easier or more comfortable. They are “high maintenance” women.
Even if this describes us, the Bible has great news! No matter where we are on the spectrum, we can dress ourselves and be in a position to serve others. What tremendous freedom and joy!
She dresses herself with strength.
It is interesting to see what the virtuous woman clothes herself with: strength!
Ever wonder why that particular trait is pointed out? I think it is because God places us as women in situations where we are overwhelmed. The demands He places on us are beyond our abilities. Like the disciples in Mark 6:32-37, there are multitudes of people around us with needs and Jesus turns to us and says, “You feed them!”
Seriously?!
We can either sit there overwhelmed….or we can take up faith and clothe ourselves with strength. My friend, unless we have a good, solid understanding of how God equips, provides, and strengthens, we will either flatline or wear ourselves out serving in our own strength.
But when we understand that God graciously intends to include us in the fulfillment of His miraculous plans, we can begin clothing ourselves with the strength He provides (see I Peter 4:10-11).
Friend, don’t miss out on living in God’s strength. Today’s a great day to start dressing.
BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS
BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS
1.No Breakfast.
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.
2.Overeating.
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.
3.Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrink ageand may lead toAlzheimer disease.
4.High Sugar consumption.
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.
5.Air Pollution.
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our 20 body.
Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.
6.Sleep Deprivation.
Sleep allows our brain to rest...
Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death ofbrain cells...
7.Head covered while sleeping.
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.
8.Working your brain during illness.
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.
9.Lacking in stimulating thoughts.
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.
10.Talking Rarely.
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain.

15 Ways to Boost Your Liver for Great Health
Your liver must perform over 500 functions, making it potentially one of the most overburdened organs in your body. Our modern lifestyle, replete with air pollution, food additives and high amounts of stress ensure that the liver has plenty to do.
So, it’s no surprise that the liver can become sluggish, making it a factor in many health conditions, including: allergies, arthritis, asthma, bad breath, chronic fatigue syndrome, cravings for sweets, depression, environmental illness/multiple chemical sensitivities, fatigue, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines, hepatitis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, hypoglycemia, hormone imbalances, immune system disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, overweight or obesity, poor digestion, recurring nausea and/or vomiting, skin diseases, and ulcerative colitis. Of course there are other factors involved in these conditions so it is important to see a physician if you suffer from any of them.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about the liver is its ability to regenerate itself. When it is given the critical nutrients, a healthy whole foods diet, and herbs to help it function, it can be restored to health in most circumstances. Strengthening the liver is one of the ways to boost energy, balance weight, and strengthen overall health.
Here are 15 ways to give your liver a boost:
1. The liver requires high amounts of vitamins and minerals to perform its many functions. Your diet should be high in fruits and vegetables and fibrer-rich foods.
2. Your liver must filter food additives. Eliminate processed foods, artificial food additives, colors, and preservatives from your diet to give your liver a break.
3. Eat plenty of fresh carrots and beets, both of which are powerful liver cleansing and rebuilding foods. In addition, eat plenty of green foods. The chlorophyll, which gives plants their green color, helps cleanse the liver.
4. Try to eat two heaping tablespoons of ground flaxseeds. They bind to hormone receptor sites, preventing excess hormones including synthetic xenoestrogens from plastics and other chemicals, from floating around your bloodstream. One of the liver’s five hundred jobs is to filter excess hormones. By eating flaxseeds and flax oil you are helping it function more effectively. Flaxseeds can be sprinkled on cereal, toast, salads, or blended into smoothies.
5. There are many great herbs that help strengthen the liver, including: milk thistle, dandelion root, globe artichoke, turmeric, slippery elm, greater celandine, balmony, barberry, black root, blue flag, boldo, fringetree bark, vervain, and wahoo.
6. Significantly reduce refined sugar and avoid synthetic sweeteners altogether.
7. Lecithin helps the liver metabolize fats and reduce cholesterol. It contains a substance called phosphatidylcholine and essential fatty acids that help keep liver cells healthy and help prevent fatty deposits from building up in the liver. Lecithin also helps reduce high blood pressure by allowing the blood vessels to relax to allow better blood flow. You can get lecithin in organic soyfoods like soy milk, tofu, and miso, as well as organic eggs. Alternatively, take 4000 mg of lecithin in capsule form daily.
8. Take a high quality multivitamin and mineral supplement to avoid any deficiencies. The liver depends on many nutrients to detoxify properly. Even a single nutrient deficiency can be harmful.
9. In addition, take 1000 to 2000 mg of vitamin C daily, even if there is vitamin C in your multivitamin.
10. Eat lots of garlic, onions and broccoli since these foods contain sulfur that is required to increase enzyme activity that boosts liver cleansing. Without adequate levels of sulfur, the phase 2 of liver detoxification cannot keep pace with level 1, meaning that many toxins can become MORE dangerous in your body.
11. Avoid eating large meals. Instead, eat small meals made up of plenty easy-to-digest foods.
12. Eat steamed vegetables, raw salad greens, raw fruits, and bitter greens. The bitter greens, especially, help to cleanse the liver.
13. Eat whole, raw, unsalted nuts and seeds for their essential fatty acids as well as their usable protein.
14. Avoid eating heavy, fatty foods since they just create more work for the liver. Avoid margarine, shortening or commercial oils or any foods made with them.
15. Avoid eating for at least three hours before bedtime to allow the liver adequate time during the night to perform its many functions, unimpeded by other bodily processes like digestion.
