Private Stephen Bainbridge, 25, from Kirkcaldy, lays gravely wounded in a compound after an IED explosion which resulted in the loss of both of his legs. His life was saved by the swift actions of Cpl John Goodie, 21. November 11th 2011.
Soldiers from 1 PWRR (Princess of Wales Royal Regiment) are battered by the downdraft of a MEDEVAC helicopter as it comes in to pick up Pte Stephen Bainbridge, aged 25 of the Black Watch (3 SCOTS) who was severely wounded in an IED explosion in a nearby compound.
