Ephesians 6:10-13 - “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your STAND against the devil’s schemes ... Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to STAND your ground, and after you have done everything, to STAND.” The word “stand” is a mental posture, a refusal to run away, to retreat into self-indulgent and self-protective devices. It is a matter of standing one’s ground and waiting to see what God will do. Standing also means engaging our fears. We have to “march down against them” (not retreat); we must identify the thing we fear and face it. To many this is the hardest thing to do because our inclination is to flee. Running from our fears only expose ourselves to greater danger. So friend, have you been running from something instead of running to God for help? Avoidance is not the answer. God can and will help you. Trust Him. STAND still and see Him at work on your behalf!
