Prayer: Breaking Generational Curses
God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and Jesus Christ, the Son, who died for me so that I may have a beautiful life.
I praise You in the midst of the current challenges that have been plaguing me and I glorify and magnify Your name.
You, my Mighty Deliverer are great and so worthy of my praise. Today, I come to you to be set free of all generational curses brought about by the sins of my fore-fathers.
Genesis 12:3 – I will bless those who bless you. And I will curse him who curses you. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
Exodus 20:5-6 – …I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
I plead for Your Holy Spirit to bind and break the strongholds
Heavenly Father, I have been confronted with so many situations in my life, circumstances that had previously affected my parents and grandparents.
I plead for Your Holy Spirit to bind and break the strongholds of these generational curses. Purge and destroy these weaknesses that have been passed through the blood from generation to generation.
The devil came to steal, kill and destroy me but thankfully I know that You gave life. I need Your help Lord, in breaking the chains that have held me captive and in bondage.

I pray for direction as I put on the armor of God which will protect me as I stand against, and dispel, all the evil and negative forces around me.

Numbers 14:18 – ‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’
I surrender my life to You.
I surrender my life to You. When the enemy comes in like a flood, I will not be defeated because I have been sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Through the blood of Jesus, I have already been set free and now declare that I have been completely delivered.
I declare that I will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and, with HIS guidance, I will walk in obedience to You and Your Word.
Thank You for bringing me into the freedom I have through Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray…SO BE IT…AMEN!
